Team takes on Castle to Castle swim

Last weekend, three of our team members, Rose, Hettie and Rachel took on the incredible Castle to Castle Swim and we could not be prouder of them.

The swim is a one mile open water challenge between Pendennis Castle and St Mawes Castle, bringing together around 400 swimmers to raise money for volunteer lifeboat crews, lifeguards and the RNLI.

Rachel actually took part in the swim last year as well, so she already knew what an amazing event it is. Both her and Rose are part of a university swim society too, so they knew loads of people taking part which made the whole day feel even more fun and supportive.

All three of the girls had an amazing time in the water, with Rose finishing as first female swimmer and Hettie coming in 4th for the women, which is such an incredible achievement.

The girls all said the atmosphere throughout the day was amazing, with gorgeous weather, incredible views and so many people coming together to take part and support the event. With around 400 competitors in the water, it sounded like such a fun day from start to finish and the three of them crossed the finish line with huge smiles on their faces.

Events like this are such a big part of what makes Cornwall feel special. Community spirit, cheering people on from the shoreline, boats out on the water and everyone coming together for something positive.

We are so proud to have these three as part of our team and loved seeing them take on such a brilliant challenge this weekend.
