Falmouth Sea Shanty

What a lovely day.

On Saturday, we welcomed a number of fantastic sea shanty groups to Harbour House as part of the Sea Shanty Festival. As our third year as an official venue, we were looking forward to being involved again and it was great to see so many people joining us throughout the day.

Visitors arrived from near and far, including plenty who made the trip across from Falmouth on the ferry. The harbour had a great feel to it all day, with people moving between venues, stopping to listen to performances and making the most of a weekend centred around music and community.

Throughout the day, we were treated to performances from some incredibly talented groups, each bringing their own character and stories to the songs. There was something really special about hearing the music drift across the harbour and seeing people pause to listen, join in with familiar choruses and enjoy a drink while taking it all in.

One of the nicest parts of the day was welcoming both familiar faces and first-time visitors through our doors. The festival gave people a chance to discover Harbour House, while regulars enjoyed seeing the pub become part of such a well-loved local event.

A huge thank you to all of the performers who joined us and shared their music throughout the day. Thank you as well to everyone who visited, supported the event and spent part of their weekend with us.

We’re so pleased to have been part of the festival again this year and hope to do it all again in 2027.
