Rising Tides, Shifting Menus: Octopus on the Rise

Beach House Falmouth was recently featured in The Caterer in a piece exploring the sharp rise in octopus numbers in British waters. Warmer seas have led to an influx of octopus around Cornwall, prompting chefs and suppliers to adapt.

Head Chef Jack Frame and local fisherman Ned Clatworthy shared their insights in the article, discussing how the shift is impacting menus and marine life alike. While lobster numbers are down, the kitchen is making the most of what’s available – serving up octopus dishes like the one with tomatoes and ’nduja, all sustainably caught just off the Cornish coast.
